Anyway, with my kit every brush, tool, shadow, palette, lipstick, bronzer, and powder has a place. After a series of shoots I always like to reassess, replenish, reorganize and clean my kit. A couple of weeks ago I did just this. I spent 6 hours with an assistant sorting through everything! Makeup artists friends can relate- it’s a therapeutic task. It forces you to reconsider what is truly necessary in your kit, it’s a chance to toss, restock and make that laundry list of items you feel you are missing.
The job after a day of a major kit cleaning I seem to step up my game because I am able to see things a little clearer. It’s a good feeling.
